Nalais tri-colored, CH sired, with a lot of CH on her pedigree. If you may also be interested in an adult cavalier as a pet on "loan" from us until they are retired from breeding after which time you would keep them as a pet please contact us. Tucker is the father of several of our Cavalier moms and the grandfather of our second and third generation! He is a daddy, grandpa and great grandpa! Tri is so much easier to write we will refer to the color as tri. He is a very mellow boy and perfectly housebroken, weighs about 15.5 pounds, Tri colored, or as AKC calls the color: black and white with tan points. He was in a home on a breeding contract where he gets all the attention he is use to having living in an only a 2 dog home. He is CHIC certified (means he has been checked by OFA for hips, heart, eyes, and patellas.). Tucker is Champion sired, has many CH on his pedigree MORE importantly OFA: good hips, patellas, eyes and heart, negative for curly coat, dry eye and falling down syndrome. He is now retired, father or grandfather to several of our dogs. Very frustrating.īoth boys Optimal selection DNA test have them negative for the 175 genetic test's the panel checks for, including DM negative. They would not re-do any of the tests when the system wasn't working unless I was going to pay for them all over again. Looking for his just now is when I realized I either didnt take him because I was worried they would lose his stuff, or his was lost and I need to find the receipt to show it was done and have them search for it. (hearts still good in 2021!) I thought we had hips and patellas done but the vet clinic had issues with getting stuff sent from a computer glitch, it was over 2 years for them to get a bunch of our dogs results sent in to OFA. Hansel is a bit older, he is CHIC certified has OFA, hips, patellas, heart and eyes. I need to find photos of Raleigh, his mother is Raquel.īoth boys are terrific. Look how handsome he is becoming! His mother is Candy. He looked like he was going to have light eyes but they darkened to the normal brown. These are photos of Hansel as puppy to older puppy. Candy and Quanah one time had a puppy with a single blue eye. It is not approved by AKC, but they are purebred AKC dogs, its just an anomaly that shows up sometimes. The pale color, as a puppy, darkens to normal red color later, sometimes indicates they can carry the blue eyed gene. We are hoping to have a blue eyed cavalier, with healthy bloodlines. Hansel and Raleigh are both sons of Zanders we saved back for potential stud dogs. The puppies always mess up their moms ear furnishings and I spend a lot of time grooming their ears. Now that I let the ladies ear fringe grow out and got pictures of how pretty it is I guess I should trim theirs short and let his grow out. He gets beautiful long ear fringe but its so much easier to care for if I trim some of it off. Red and white would have been so much easier! He weighs about 16.5 pounds, although looks bigger with all the coat. He Loves to run around the back yard, (and loves the ladies!) We have better photos but I can't find them and am trying to hurry to get the new website "live". He is Blenheim colored, pronounced blen-um. Quanah is also champion sired with many CH on his pedigree. Quanah, pronounced K-whoa-nah (Art named him after an American Indian chief who had many wives and children!) He is CHIC certified since he has all recommended health testing for Cavaliers completed. Quanah has OFA good hips, OFA normal patellas, and OFA normal heart, (still good in 2021)! He also has eyes OFA evaluation done. Since Tucker is the father to most of the girls we had to get an unrelated male. To help accomplish this, it is incumbent upon every prospective owner to educate themselves on the care, health, and requirements for being a responsible and loving cavalier owner. Now Retired, looking for a pet home: Super handsome boy with tons of coat. It is our desire to help each and every prospective owner find the perfect partner. Please look for the information and links under the Breed Information section on this site. In our opinion, without the fun and loving disposition that should be characteristic of all cavaliers, you only have a pretty dog. With respects to breed characteristics and standards, we place highest priority on temperament, then confirmation, size, and color. We are committed to the breed standards and breeder guidelines put forth by the AKC and ACKCSC. We raise our pups in our living room, where they are socialized, loved, and cleaned daily. Our cavaliers are part of our family and live with us. We are Cache Valley Cavaliers, a small home-based breeder nestled in the Cache Valley area of northern Utah.
